The Physiotherapy Department offers a limited number of places each year for school students interested in learning more about physiotherapy.
Each student can spend one week in the department and shadow a physiotherapist as they go about their work in areas such as:
- Orthopaedic outpatients / inpatients
- Spinal cord injuries rehabilitation
- Aged Care
- The Community Rehabilitation Centre
It is also recommended that interested students contact private practitioners, nursing home physiotherapists, the Australian Physiotherapy Association and physiotherapists in industry to become aware of the many areas in which physiotherapists work.
Applications must be received at least 6 months prior to the dates requested. A letter stating the requested dates must be sent to:
