Schizotypal personality disorder is characterized by someone who has great difficulty in establishing and maintaining close relationships with others. Individuals with this disorder often seek treatment for the associated symptoms of anxiety, depression or other dysphoric affects rather than for the personality disorder features per se. Literature to date on the syndrome is almost confined to adults.

Bowel cancer is now the 2^nd most common type of newly diagnosed cancer in this country, affecting both men and women almost equally and claiming the lives of 77 Australians every week.

This month Australians will be encouraged to take advantage of a "BowelScreen Australia® screening test for bowel cancer prevention and early detection" Whilst the trend towards greater patient involvement in healthcare decisions through screening is usually perceived as good for the health of the population, Cochrane report there are some risks associated with the tests involved.
