BioMed Central (BMC) provides a guide on writing and publishing a scientific manuscript. BMC explain: why English provides the broadest possible audience; that good writing increases your chances of acceptance for publication, and provides a guide to what peer review journal editors are looking for when reading your research.

Formulating answerable questions - is an academic paper outlining useful alternatives to PICO (problem, intervention, comparison, outcome) showing that in different fields - medicine, occupational therapy, social work, oncology - using a slightly different approach to constructing a question may be more applicable or gain different search results.

In this review paper the authors discuss medical intensity and new approaches to patient care as medicine becomes more scientific - driven by research and evidence. They compare high & low admission hospitals and then compare patient outcomes. They conclude by saying "figuring out who is likely to benefit from intensive therapy and who will do fine without is critically important - and not just for the bottom line.
