- Austin Health films receive international recognition
Thursday 1 July
Two films commissioned by Austin Health have received recognition by leading international awards program, The Communicator Awards.
Our documentary film ‘On the frontline – responding to a global pandemic’ received an Award of Excellence in the online video category.
The film captures the experiences of staff during COVID-19 and the impact it’s had on their work and personal lives.
It’s a story of staff resilience, courage and an unwavering dedication to our patients and each other.
Our nursing recruitment film ‘Come and work in our Emergency Department’, received an Award of Distinction in the online video category.
In this film, staff share why Austin Health’s Emergency Department is a unique place to work.
The film captures a dynamic and engaged nursing workforce, who describe their Emergency Department as an exciting, fast-paced environment where new recruits will be surrounded by a supportive and collaborative team.
Austin Health CEO, Adam Horsburgh, says the recognition is testament to the collaboration and hard work from staff.
“Producing this type of content is no easy feat and all credit goes to our incredible staff who featured in these projects – they were more than willing to put their own work aside to share their stories to camera,” he says.
The awards – judged by the New York based Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts – is the leading international program honouring creative excellence for marketing and communication professionals.
The annual competition honours the best digital, mobile, audio, video and social content the industry has to offer, and this year there were more than 6,000 entries from the US and around the world.
We'd also like to recognise Fancy Films, for producing these award winning films for us.
