- Volunteer guides return to Austin Health
Our volunteer guides returned to Austin Hospital for the first time this week, following an extended pause to the service due to COVID-19.
Jodi Batchelor, Manager, Volunteer Engagement explains that "the return of volunteers is happening in a phased approach."
Our volunteer guides are available to help patients, visitors and families to find their way around our hospital.
The guides will be located near the screening point at the main entrance to the Austin Hospital on level one.
Our volunteer guides can be easily identified by their new purple uniforms.
Jodi says that the new uniform "clearly identifies our volunteer workforce and is also recognition for our volunteers and the important role they play within our organisation".
