What is My Health Record?
My Health Record is the national digital health record system that stores key health information from your health care providers and Medicare
What Austin Health sends to your My Health Record
Austin Health currently sends the following information to My Health Record for patients who have not opted-out:
- Inpatient Discharge Summaries for patients 18 years of age and over
- Emergency Department Discharge Summaries for patients 18 years of age and over
- Pathology results – there is a 7 day delay in sending these results to My Health Record (visible to clinicians after 7 days; visible to the patient after 14 days)
- Radiology results – there is a 14 day delay in sending these results to My Health Record (visible to clinicians after 14 days; visible to the patient after 21 days)
- Pharmacist Shared Medicines List
If you wish to withdraw your consent for this information to be uploaded to your My Health Record, let us know at your next visit or call Health Information Services on 03 9496 5447.
You are also able to opt-back-in if you have previously opted out of having information sent to your My Health Record.
